What is Chair Dancing?

Do you offer traditional Ballroom Dancing?

Do you offer lessons for a couple’s first dance at their wedding?
Yes. Ballroom Dancing coaches love nothing more than to work with a bridal couple or party on their wedding dance.
NDIS and Funding
Is Ballroom Fit a registered NDIS provider?
Yes. Ballroom Fit is a registered NDIS provider, and eligible participants may be able to access funding for supports depending on their plan.
What NDIS supports can be used for dance classes?
Funding may be used under relevant NDIS categories such as Community, Social and Recreational Activities, where appropriate and in line with the participant’s plan goals.
Do I need NDIS approval before starting?
Yes. Participants should ensure their plan includes relevant supports or have approval from their support coordinator or planner prior to commencement.
Can Ballroom Fit help with NDIS documentation?
Yes. We can provide invoices, attendance records, and supporting documentation required for claims and reporting.

Events and Performances
Does Ballroom Fit participate in performances or competitions?
Yes. Participants may have opportunities to take part in local showcases, community events, as well as DanceSport, Special Olympics and Para DanceSport competitions.
Do I have to perform or compete if I join a class?
No. Participation in performances and competitions is optional.
Can I just learn to socialise and have fun?
Yes. We welcome participants in our classes who want to learn to dance for the enjoyment of moving to music and meeting like-minded people without the pressure of performing or competing.
Does Ballroom Fit offer an exam program?
Yes. Ballroom Fit undertakes regular award exams with the Australian Dancing Society.
