Formation Team Dancing

The Western Australian Masters Formation Team are a troop of Masters DanceSport couples who train, perform, and compete as a group. There are sixteen to twelve dancers in the team with six to eight couples on the floor at any one time.
They are a group of talented and passionate dancers who love to burn up the dance floor! The team are available for any type of show including corporate events and private functions whether as a team of several couples.
Their floorshow routines are usually between 5 and 6 minutes and involve the performance of some of their exciting, choreographed routines to specially selected music track mixes.
Formation dancing provides an enjoyable way for dancers to stay physically active. It promotes cardiovascular health, enhances flexibility, and improves balance, all of which are crucial for maintaining overall well-being. The rhythmic movements of dance contribute to joint mobility, reducing the risk of falls and injuries.
Beyond the physical aspects, formation dancing fosters a sense of community and social connection. Members can form new friendships, share experiences, and create lasting bonds with fellow dancers. This social interaction is vital for mental health, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
Moreover, dancing stimulates the mind. Learning and remembering dance steps, patterns, and sequences provide a cognitive workout that can enhance memory and concentration. This mental stimulation is beneficial for maintaining cognitive function as seniors age.
