The 2026 Perth Para DanceSport Competition will take place on Sunday, 31 May 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Herb Graham Recreation Centre. The competition is free to spectators.

This highly anticipated event will showcase the skill, creativity, and determination of athletes participating in Para DanceSport. The competition highlights inclusive dance opportunities for individuals with disability.

What to Expect

Audiences can look forward to a dynamic program featuring Para Dance events, including routines with wheelchair users, as well as Vision Impaired events for vision-impaired, blind, and deafblind dancers.

Performances will be judged on key DanceSport elements:

  • Degree of difficulty
  • Technical skills
  • Presentation, musicality, and choreography

About the Athletes

This competition is designed for athletes who have been training consistently in DanceSport. It offers a supportive and inspiring platform to showcase their abilities, build confidence, and connect with others through the joy of dance.

By promoting inclusion and celebrating ability, we create meaningful opportunities for athletes to thrive both on and off the dance floor.

Special Displays

The event will also feature special DanceSport displays from Western Australian athletes preparing to compete in the Special Olympics 2026 Australian National Games.
