Ballroom Fit has just wrapped up a fantastic 10-week DanceSport WA introductory course for social dancers ready to take the next step into competition.

Over the course of the 10 dancers (5 couples – 2 Adults and 3 Masters) have worked hard while having plenty of fun, developing their skills in Waltz, Cha Cha Cha and Merrilyn. Their dedication and enthusiasm in refining the technical aspects of each dance, as they transition from social to competitive level, have been impressive.

These couples will make their competition debut at the Australian Dancing Society (WA Branch) 2026 Great Western Championship. We wish them all the very best!

The program included weekly group classes at the Belmont Hub, along with additional supervised practice sessions at the Como Primary School Hall and the Manning Senior Citizens Centre. It’s been great to see such commitment across the board.

Ballroom Fit will be running a second DanceSport Competition Introduction Course, commencing on Monday, 20 April, 6–7 pm at Belmont Hub, culminating in participation in the 2026 Perth Para DanceSport Competition being held on Sunday, 31 May 2026, from 1 to 4 pm, at the Herb Graham Recreation Centre, Mirrabooka.
